What took place in San Francisco on March 26, 2021, when hundreds of Eritrean and Ethiopian pro-regime supporters took to the streets, should be condemned for what it was â a reactionary, fascist mobilization no different than white supremacists storming the streets with chants to âmake America great again.â There is no coincidence that there were several signs that read âmake Ethiopia great againâ at this rally.

Washington, April 9 : President Joe Biden s National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan expressed US concern over the crisis in the Tigray region to Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonnen, the White House said.
In a Wednesday phone call with Mekonnen, Sullivan expressed the Biden Administration s grave concern about the continued humanitarian and human rights crisis in the Tigray region, the White House said in a statement on Thursday, Xinhua news agency reported.

ADDIS ABABA, April 6 (Xinhua) The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) on Monday said it needs 49.7 million U.S. dollars to meet the needs of refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Ethiopia.
A monthly fact sheet published by UNHCR said it needs the funding to meet the basic nutritional needs, as well as the education, health and accommodation needs of refugees and IDPs in Ethiopia.
The UNHCR appeal for Ethiopia covers the emergency situation in Ethiopia s northern Tigray regional state from January to June 2021.
The UNHCR had registered 96,223 Eritrean refugees in the Tigray region, sheltered mainly in four camps in the region, before the outbreak of conflict in Ethiopia s northern region last November.
