Forecast: Showers, Possible Thunder Storms Today
There’s a chance we could see a few showers and thunderstorms pop up this afternoon, especially in eastern parts of the region. Otherwise, we’re going to be mostly sunny today with highs in the low to mid 80s. The wind will pick up a bit with a couple wind gusts around 25 to 30 mph.
Tonight, we’ll see any thunderstorms come to an end. There will be plenty of sunshine across the region for Tuesday, but it will be a little breezy. Wind gusts around 30 mph will be possible. Highs will be in the 80s. Some changes will start to come midweek. By Wednesday, we’ll see highs fall into the 70s, and by Thursday, we’ll drop into the 60s for highs with a pretty good chance of rain.
Forecast: Chances of Afternoon Storms and Warmer Temps
Dense fog this morning then as we head into the afternoon hours, we’ll see increasing chances for showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s and low 80s. The risk of severe weather will be very low.
Overnight, we’ll see a chance of rain continue mainly before 1 AM with a low near 62.
Thursday another round of showers and thunderstorms will be possible by the afternoon with highs near 80.
Friday looks like it will be a dry day. Most of us across the region will have a chance to crack 80 by then.
It’ll be a pleasant day with sunny to partly cloudy skies. A stationary boundary situated across northern Kansas and Missouri will want to bring in clouds and even a few scattered showers along and south of I-90, but I think the wedge of high pressure over us will mostly keep rain chances at bay.
Monday night will remain quiet with a clear to partly cloudy sky. Winds will be out of the E to SE at 5-20 mph, calming to 5-10 mph

FORECAST: Tah-Dah, A Sunshine Filled Thursday
Warmer temperatures today and rising temps through the weekend.
We are going to see plenty of sunshine for our Thursday. The wind will pick up for some. Overall, it will be a pretty nice day with highs in the upper 60s and low 70s. A few clouds will drift through from time to time, but otherwise sunshine will stick around throughout a majority of the day.
The low in Sioux Falls tonight will be near 45 with clear skies.
Friday we will be in the 70s for most of the region, but central and western South Dakota will get into the lower 80s.
