A DECISION that’s left the future of a centre that cares for people with severe learning difficulties hanging in the balance has come under fire. Pressure on Wiltshire Council and charity Hft is growing after a whirlwind few weeks for parents of residents at Furlong Close. The facility had been earmarked to close next June, after it was announced in October. Now, Conservative councillor Anna Cuthbert, who represents Bromham, Rowde and Potterne, has raised her voice in support of the families. She said: “Wiltshire Council does not treat people in the way that we have treated the residents of Furlong Close, we consult to death before we do anything. It has been pretty appalling.
