Some of those judges had been waiting to see what the Supreme Court would do. The court’s instruction Monday was: Proceed.
Technically, the Supreme Court’s decision doesn’t dictate how those lower court cases should come out. But it also sends a signal that’s hard for lower court judges to ignore. “It’s inevitable that judges on lower courts will be thinking about what this means,” said University of Michigan law professor Sam Bagenstos. “Lower court judges hate to be reversed. They’re always trying to predict what the Supreme Court will do, and I’d be shocked if they aren’t taking this into account.”

A St Patrick’s Day with a difference this year saw the people of Cork get creative in celebrating our national holiday.
The day which is usually celebrated with parades, Irish flags and green-coloured ice cream was celebrated much more carefully this year due to current restrictions but that didn’t stop people from thinking outside the box.
Many events moved online with offerings such as live gigs and performances, and iconic landmarks across the city and the county were lit green to mark the second year of celebrating St Patrick’s Day under lockdown.

The slogan for the event is Say her name. She (Taylor) has not received justice, said Vulich. There is no justice, and we want to continue to honor her memory. She was a beloved community member.
The event will include an opening prayer by the Rev. Alexis Twito of Advent Lutheran Church, opening comments by Port Washington High School student Aleysha Will, a review of Taylor s life and legacy by Bianca Shaw of the Black Equity and Policy Institute; a cover of Rise Up by William Tony, a member of NAACP-Ozaukee County;a closing prayer by the Rev.
