Grab and Go Lunches: Drive by pick available in January. Twice each month we will get meals from SeniorCare’s caterer and put them safely in your car for you to enjoy at home. Pick up time is between 11:30 a.m. and noon at the entrance to the Senior Center. Delivery is available on a limited basis. Call 978-356-6650 to reserve your meal.
Inclement Weather Police: Our phone message will be updated by 7 a.m. each day if the Senior Center will be closed or on a delay due to bad weather. Call us at 978-356-6650.
Virtual fundraiser sees Neighbors Helping Neighbors
January 06, 2021PLYMOUTH As we enter winter s coldest month, many are struggling to stay warm, with the pandemic compounding the perennial challenge of paying for fuel. Despite the economic downturn, local businesses and individuals have stepped up with donations for the Keep the Heat On (KTHO) annual fundraiser, to be held virtually this year on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m.
Keep the Heat On is a volunteer effort raising funds for the nonprofit Plymouth Area Community Closet (PACC) in support of its mission to assist our neighbors in need. PACC serves residents of 15 towns in the Pemi-Baker Region with programs such as the fuel assistance fund and the food pantry.

15th Annual Festival of Trees: Tata Auditorium, Leominster City Hall, 25 West St. Public viewing hours will be weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and weekends from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (except when noted otherwise). All bidding and voting ends on Monday, Dec. 21 at 6 p.m. (extended hours for the final day). Cape Cod Cooperative Extension, Southeastern Massachusetts Aquaculture Center & Woods Hole Sea Grant are offering a 10-week online Fundamentals of Shellfish Farming course. Topics are shellfish biology, clam and oyster culture techniques, predator control, permitting, safety, and business management. The Keep the Heat On (KTHO) Committee has responded with a twist on its popular annual fundraiser on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. So many are suffering from the economic impacts of COVID-19, says event organizer Audrey Eisenhauer. We can t gather in person, but rather than canceling we re encouraging everyone to stay home, stay safe, and help others stay warm by purchasing a ticket to our UnEvent. Everyone deserves to be warm and your support can help make that happen.
