NEWTON FALLS A Southington man was sentenced Tuesday for his involvement in a 2019 crash the killed a woman.
William Dally, 71, of 1932 Phalanx Mills Herner Road, was sentenced to 180 days in jail, received a $1,000 fine and will have his driver’s license suspended for five years. But he will only have to serve 30 days as 150 of them were suspended by Judge Philip Vigorito, as well as $500 of his fine after pleading guilty to vehicular homicide.
Dally is under house arrest via electronic monitoring until he can serve his sentence, due to COVID-19 precautions, a court official said.
The crash took place in April 2019 when the vehicle driven by Dally hit Kathleen Westenfelder, also of Southington, as she was walking along Helsey Fusselman Road, Southington. She was transported to Trumbull Regional Medical Center and later to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital where she died.

⢠Abdul Muhammad, 29, wanted for aggravated murder. Muhammad is accused of shooting and killing 35-year-old Marquise Bebbs on Nov. 19 in the parking lot of a Youngstown bar near the corner of East Lucius and South Avenue.
Muhammad is described as about 6 feet tall and weighs 200 pounds. His last known address is in Columbus, but investigators think he’s now in the Cleveland area.
⢠George Hill III, 45, indicted on two counts of murder, felonious assault and domestic violence in the death of Jennifer Mullen, 35, of Boardman. Mullen died June 1, 2020, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital from injuries she sustained either May 30 or May 31 in her Shields Road home. Hill is about 5-foot-6 and weighs 152 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

YOUNGSTOWN The Youngstown State University football team and local community are rallying around a student coach who is recovering from a car crash.
The 19-year-old defensive assistant, Daniel Minenok, is at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital after the crash that occurred about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday on Pulaski Road in Neshannock Township, Pa.
The Neshannock Police Department said the Honda Civic driven by Minenok of New Castle, Pa., and a Waste Management truck crashed and Minenok was trapped inside his car. The investigation includes “multiple sources of video evidence,” the department said, noting no determination has been made about the crash or possible charges.

HOWLAND A Champion man on Wednesday pleaded guilty to criminal charges linked to driving his 2006 Honda Civic into a Howland home the night of Sept. 23, 2020, crushing a man and his dog to their deaths in the basement.
Damien L. Fish, 24, of 5265 N. Park Ave. Extension, appeared with his attorney David Rouzzo before Trumbull Common Pleas Judge W. Wyatt McKay, who will sentence Fish after a background investigation.
