Two home invasions, believed to be linked, in the Port Stephens and Lake Macquarie regions have sparked a police investigation.
On Tuesday 23 March, police say three men, armed with a hammer and knife, forced their way into a home at Lemon Tree Passage around 4:15am and seriously assaulted a male resident inside.
Two days later, two men, armed with a pole and bat, allegedly broke into Kahibah home and also seriously assaulted a male resident inside.
It’s reported the same car, described as a blue Mazda 6 sedan, was used at both break-ins.
Detectives are now asking anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact Port Stephens-Hunter Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
