ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a person and/or vehicle in reference to a theft/fraud incident that happened on April 7.

Crash in Elkhart on US 20 injures two, one airlifted for his injuries By: Kate Luce
The crash took place around 2:53 p.m. on Monday.
A 2001 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling westbound on US 20, near CR 31. A 2004 Pontiac Montana was traveling in the opposite direction on US 20, near CR 31.
The Silverado allegedly crossed into the eastbound lane, crashing head on to the Montana, deputies said. Both vehicles suffered heavy front-end damage, according to the report.
The driver of the Silverado was transported to the local hospital for his injuries. While the driver of the Montana was transported by Med flight to another hospital for his injuries.

GOSHEN, Ind. – A suspect with active warrants led police on a chase through Elkhart and Kosciusko counties on April 9, the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Police with the Goshen Police Department were called to the 1600 block of S. 8th St. for reports of a known subject breaking into a residence in the area, reports said.
Upon police arrival at the scene, dispatch was told what the suspect looked like and that the suspect was allegedly driving a black truck, police said.
Accident at the intersection of CR 28 and SR 19 injures one By: Kate Luce
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – A car accident at the intersection of CR 28 and SR 19 injures one driver, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver of a 2003 Cadillac Deville was traveling east on CR 28, stopping at SR 19. The driver of the Cadillac allegedly pulled into the path of a 2014 Dodge Ram 3500 which was traveling south on SR 19, deputies said.
The driver of the Dodge allegedly hit the Cadillac on the front left side, causing the Cadillac to spin around, according to deputies. The Dodge then allegedly hit the left rear side of the Cadillac, deputies said.
