Shaandiin Tome directs gorgeous film through Stept Studios for Alterra Mountain Company
From creative production house Stept Studios comes the short film My Ikon: My Connection, a story about the deeply felt connection to the mountains that Connor Ryan, of the Húŋkpapȟa Lakȟóta people, and Lonnie Kauk, of the Ahwahnechee tribe, both hold.
A film for the Alterra Mountain Company brand, Ikon Pass, My Ikon: My Connection was filmed on the original territories of the Ute, Cheyenne, Arapaho, Numu and Monache people at three Ikon Pass mountain destinations – Winter Park Resort and Eldora Mountain Resort in Colorado and Mammoth Mountain in California. Alterra Mountain Co. has released pricing for the 2021-22 Ikon Pass, which went on sale Thursday, March 11.
The full Ikon Pass will continue to offer skiers and riders unlimited access to Copper Mountain Resort with seven days at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area in Summit County. There are no blackout dates on the Ikon Pass, which includes access to 41 destinations outside of Summit County, including Eldora Mountain Resort, Steamboat Resort and Winter Park Resort in Colorado.
Alterra is offering existing passholders a renewal discount of up to $100 on all 2021-22 adult and young adult Ikon passes purchased before May 5. Among pass products that increased in price, most saw about a 4% jump, while passes for children ages 4 and younger saw decreases in price.

Seven inches of fresh powder fell at Eldora Mountain Resort late Tuesday night into early Wednesday. Skiers and snowboarders were busy soaking up the sun and taking advantage of he overnight snow, eagerly anticipating the big storm that awaits.
Boulder County Sheriff's deputies said the teen's death is the second death at Eldora Mountain Resort in as many days. A snowboarder died Sunday after hitting trees.
