Millions of acres of national forest in Northern California are being closed because of dangerous fire conditions that already have sent a score of blazes
New images show the devastation left behind in Clearlake by the Cache Fire while the fast spreading Caldor Fire wildfire grows 24 times in size in just two days.
Millions of acres of national forest in Northern California are being closed because of dangerous fire conditions that already have sent a score of blazes raging through the area and destroyed hundreds of homes.
Just like the Dixie Fire, it’s possible the Caldor Fire will decrease one day and strengthen the next. Firefighters and residents in impacted areas will have to watch out for sudden changes in wind patterns moving forward.
At least 16,000 other homes remain threatened by California wildfires, which are among some 100 burning throughout a dozen Western states, fire officials said.
