Storm coming to southern Wake County as Willow Spring High gets nickname, colors Tags: Updated December 15, 2020 4:09 a.m. EST By Nick Stevens, HighSchoolOT managing editor Fuquay-Varina, N.C. The newest high school in Wake County has its colors and mascot. The Wake County Public School System released details for the new Willow Spring High School, which will open to students this fall. Colors will be navy blue, Columbia blue, and yellow similar to the Los Angeles Chargers color scheme. Storm will be the nickname for Willow Spring. Not a cloud in the sky tonight. But in the fall of 2021 we will welcome the Storm, the official Wake County Athletics Twitter account posted on Friday evening.
