1st Lt. Niles Clarke and his wife, Maddie, hold their newborn son, Levi, at their home on post at Fort Carson in February. Levi Clarke was born at home early in the morning of Jan. 27. The idea of a home birth had appealed to Maddie before, but the prospect of having the birth at a hospital during the pandemic sealed the deal.
