Essentia St. Mary s moves COVID vaccinations to the main clinic
Wednesday will be the last day vaccinations will be available at the North Campus building in Detroit Lakes. Moving forward, all vaccinations will be given at the Essentia Health St. Mary’s-Detroit Lakes Clinic between 8:15 a.m. and 3:45 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Essentia Health is beginning to administer COVID-19 vaccinations at the Essentia Health St. Mary’s-Detroit Lakes Clinic, located at 1027 Washington Avenue in Detroit Lakes.
Vaccinations will be available at the North Campus building, located at 114 E Frazee Street, on Wednesday, May 26 from 8:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. This will be the last day vaccinations will be available at the North Campus building. Moving forward, all vaccinations will be given at the Essentia Health St. Mary’s-Detroit Lakes Clinic between 8:15 a.m. and 3:45 p.m., Monday through Friday.

New owners of Detroit Lakes AmericInn celebrate grand opening, overcoming setbacks
Nick and Angie Kukowski took over the AmericInn in October of 2020 and managed to navigate through months of compromised, pandemic-era operations as well as several weeks of recovery time for Angie, who suffered a life-threatening accident on the job in February.

Essentia Health offers post COVID-19 rehabilitation program

NORTH DAKOTA & MINNESOTA (KVRR) Essentia Health launches a COVID-19 patient rehabilitation program for those suffering with long term effects from the virus.
“I tell people he’s our blueprint. We know how to get somebody better with COVID from about as bad as you can have it and be as worn down from it as you can be,” Essentia Health Outpatient Rehab Services Manager Troy Schmitz said.
Eighty-seven-year-old Ray Schmitz was diagnosed with COVID-19 in October. He’s been in the hospital ever since.
