The offshore part of one line of
Nord Stream 2 has been mechanically completed. Pipelay was completed on June 4, 2021, and the above water tie-in was performed June 10 – the offshore pipeline sections laid from Russia and Germany have thus been interconnected.
Starting from June 11, the required pre-commissioning activities will be carried out to prepare for gas-in.
Offshore pipelay works on the second line are ongoing. All activities are in accordance with the respective permits.
Canada: TC Energy confirms termination of Keystone XL Pipeline Project

TC Energy Corp confirmed June 9 that after a comprehensive review of its options, and in consultation with its partner, the
Government of Alberta, it has terminated the
Keystone XL Pipeline Project.
Construction activities to advance the Project were suspended following the revocation of its Presidential Permit on January 20, 2021. The Company will continue to coordinate with regulators, stakeholders and Indigenous groups to meet its environmental and regulatory commitments and ensure a safe termination of and exit from the Project.

Rosneft and a consortium of Vitol and Mercantile & Maritime Energy have signed heads of terms for a transaction providing for the sale of a 5% stake in the authorized capital of Vostok Oil.
Australia is about to see its largest-ever wave of offshore development wells that reach the end of their producing life and need to be decommissioned. A Rystad Energy report shows that Australia’s number of such wells will jump from 160 today to more than 440 by 2026, with a further 172 offshore exploration wells waiting in the queue.
Vestas has secured a 101 MW order from ReNew Power, one of India’s leading Renewable Energy Independent Power Producers (IPP). The order is an extension of ReNew’s existing project in Kutch, Gujarat, where Vestas had previously supplied turbines totalling to 250 MW.
