Colorado doesn t just have a friend in Steve Zansberg. They have a defender of the public s right to know and the press s ability to do its job. Toiling in a law library instead of a newsroom, the former TV journalist is a giant behind the scenes of just about every one of the state s biggest First Amendment fights over the last 2½ decades.
If the public has a right to know, it s usually Zansberg fighting hardest for that right. Though it s his profession, he s also known for his pro bono fights for reporters, news outlets and others who enjoy the freedom of information. He currently serves as president of the Colorado Freedom of Information Coalition, ensuring proposed changes to the law, access to public records and initiatives around transparency.

Cable Cos. Can Make You Pay For Certain Channels: 1st Circ.
Law360 (February 24, 2021, 9:33 PM EST) The First Circuit on Wednesday ruled that Maine can t force cable companies to unbundle channels and content, upholding a federal court injunction blocking a state law that the court said runs afoul of cable companies First Amendment rights.
The Pine Tree State s 2019 law required cable operators to let consumers purchase cable channels and programs individually. Comcast of Maine/New Hampshire Inc. and several other big-name networks, including CBS Corp., Disney Enterprises Inc., Viacom Inc. and A&E Television Networks challenged the legislation in Maine federal court shortly before it was set to take effect.
Flutter Entertainment has made a number of non-executive changes to its management, the outcome of which will “enhance the gender balance” of its board, according to statement from the group.
Holly Koeppel and Nancy Dubuc will be appointed as independent non-executive directors of the Paddy Power Betfair owner in April and May respectively.
Ms Dubuc has been CEO of North American headquartered, international media group, Vice Media since 2018. She held senior management positions, including CEO, with A&E Television Networks between 1999-2018.
