Gil Rebollar Appointed as the County of Imperial s Public Information Officer Published: 15 April 2021
El Centro, California - The County of Imperial is proud to announce the appointment of Gil Rebollar as Imperial County Public Information Officer (PIO) to replace former PIO, Linsey Dale, who now serves as the Imperial County Registrar of Voters. Mr. Rebollar’s appointment as PIO will begin effective immediately.
Chairman of the Board and District 3 Supervisor, Michael W. Kelley, stated, “Mr. Rebollar has proven his dedication and commitment to our county throughout his career. The Board and I believe that his skillset and knowledge of traditional and new media, as well as a deep understanding of the core mission and values of our organization, will be to the benefit of the County, our departments, and the people we represent.”

California’s desert is littered with remnants of broken dreams hidden ghost towns, abandoned mines and rusty remains of someone’s Big Idea. But nothing looms larger on an abandoned landscape than the Salton Sea, which languishes in an overlooked corner of the state.
The water shimmers and broils in the desert like a rebuke: born of human error, made worse by 100 years of neglect and pollution. California’s largest lake is also one of its worst environmental blights, presenting a problem so inverted
