 | Print this article More than a dozen people were killed in a violent collision on Tuesday after a car packed with passengers collided with a semitruck in Imperial County, California. Officials said at least 13 people are dead and around a dozen are hospitalized following the incident, which involved an SUV containing 27 people. Twelve died at the scene, and one succumbed to his or her injuries while at a local hospital, Judy Cruz, director of El Centro Regional Medical Center s emergency department, said. According to authorities, the victims included Mexican citizens aged 20 to 55, and the injured are ages 16 to 55. The El Centro Regional Medical Center initially reported that 15 people were killed.
