Fairfield Intermediate principal resigns after three year absence Wed, 7 Jul 2021, 10:06AM
The principal of one of Hamilton s largest intermediate schools has this morning resigned after a three-year absence shrouded in secrecy.
Andrew Shortcliffe has not been seen at Fairfield Intermediate since taking extended leave in mid-2018.
His practising certificate expired in April this year, according to the Teacher Council of Aotearoa New Zealand s database.
The announcement of his resignation comes three years after the Ministry of Education appointed limited statutory manager Rob Naumann to oversee the school, which this year has a role of 622 pupils.
