The Los Angeles County Development Authority has announced that the Small Business Stabilization Loan Program will accept applications through April 16 or until it hits $20 million in funding requests, whichever occurs first.
Launched on January 28, 2021, the Small Business Stabilization Loan Program provides eligible businesses with a competitive interest rate for loans ranging from $50,000 to $3 million.
Businesses interested in applying for the Program must have been in operation for at least two years and seeking working capital, equipment purchases, real estate acquisition, or refinancing of existing loans at higher interest rates. As of March, the LACDA has received over $14 million in funding requests.

USC Student Health’s investigations revealed the coronavirus variant first detected in New York present in the USC community in addition to the four cases of the variant first detected in the United Kingdom, Chief Health Officer Dr. Sarah Van Orman said in a student media briefing Thursday. Firefighters quickly extinguished a house fire in the Valencia Hills neighborhood Wednesday morning.
The call came out shortly after 6:30 a.m. on the 25500 block of Via Brava in Valencia, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department Supervisor Franklin Lopez.
Units arriving on the scene found flames and smoke showing from one room in a single-family residence, Lopez said.
Not even 10 minutes later, firefighters called knock down of the blaze, preventing it from spreading into other areas of the house, Lopez added.
One woman was transported to the hospital following the incident for unknown reasons.
