OpTic sweep Royal Ravens in CDL Stage 5, Week 3

OpTic Chicago swept the London Royal Ravens 3-0 on Thursday to solidify its first-place standing in Group A of the Call of Duty League s Stage 5.
In the only other match Thursday in the Seattle Surge s home series as Week 3 began, the New York Subliners edged the Paris Legion 3-2.
The 12 teams are split into two groups of six across three weeks of action to determine seeding for the Stage 5 major, which begins July 29. All group-stage matches and playoff matches are best-of-five except for the Aug. 1 grand final, which will be best-of-nine.

OpTiC Chicago took down the Atlanta FaZe 3-2 for Group A supremacy and the Paris Legion picked up their first victory of Stage 5 as Week 2 concluded Sunday in the Call of Duty League.
In the last game of the day, the Dallas Empire beat the Minnesota Rokkr to take over third place in Group B.
Chicago and Atlanta entered Sunday s showdown undefeated, and OpTiC only prevailed after an evenly-matched battle. OpTiC began with a 250-177 win on Moscow Hardpoint, but the FaZe answered by winning 6-4 on Miami Search and Destroy.
Mutineers, Ultra lead Group B with wins in Stage 5

The first-place Florida Mutineers and Toronto Ultra recorded wins in Group B on Saturday during the second week of Stage 5 action on Saturday in the Call of Duty League.
The Mutineers (3-0, 9-3) defeated the Los Angeles Guerrillas (0-4, 2-12) in four maps, and the Ultra (3-0, 9-1) followed with a sweep of the Seattle Surge (0-3, 1-9).
In the day s only Group A match, the London Royal Ravens (1-2, 4-8) edged the New York Subliners (0-3, 4-9) in five maps.

Florida, Atlanta each win 3-1 in Stage 5 action

The Florida Mutineers and Atlanta FaZe each rolled to 3-1 victories to continue the second week of Stage 5 action on Friday in the Call of Duty League.
Florida prevailed in some tight competition with the Dallas Empire to keep within striking distance of first-place Toronto in Group B. The Mutineers (2-0, 6-2) won 250-242 on Moscow Hardpoint, 6-3 on Standoff Search and Destroy and lost 3-1 on Raid Control before prevailing 250-246 on Garrison Hardpoint.
Atlanta (3-0, 9-1), alone in first place in Group A, had a slightly easier time, but it was still a competitive round against the Los Angeles Thieves. The FaZe won 250-233 on Checkmate Hardpoint and lost 6-5 on Moscow Search and Destroy. Then they won the last two maps, 3-0 on Garrison Control and 250-220 on Raid Hardpoint.
Ultra, Rokkr open week with wins at CDL Stage 5

The Toronto Ultra and Minnesota Rokkr vanquished winless opponents to kick off the second week of Stage 5 action Thursday in the Call of Duty League.
Toronto dominated the Los Angeles Guerrillas to remain undefeated for the stage and grab the top spot in Group B. The Ultra won 250-75 on Garrison Hardpoint, 6-3 on Moscow Search and Destroy and 3-0 on Garrison Control.
Minnesota handled the Seattle Surge in a similar fashion. The Rokkr secured wins of 250-158 on Checkmate Hardpoint, 6-3 on Standoff Search and Destroy and 3-0 on Garrison Control.
