A medical doctor, Chidera Ifudu, has died in a motor accident two months to his wedding.
The accident involving his Lexus SUV occurred on Friday morning, along Port Harcourt/Aba Expressway.
According to reports, the medical practitioner was trying to avoid hitting a pedestrian when his car veered off the road and crashed.
The deceased, who worked at Enugu State University of Science and Technology Teaching Hospital, was reportedly the only son of his father.
It was gathered that Ifudu s wedding invitation card was used to trace his relations.

A Professor of Medical Biochemistry who hails from Ohaukwu local government area of Ebonyi state, Prof Sunday Oge Elom has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State.
Prof Elom’s appointment has put to an end the agitation for an indigene of Ebonyi State extraction to become the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University.
Until his appointment which was announced through a Press Release signed by the Registrar/Secretary of Council, Odisa C. Oleke ( Mrs.) on Tuesday, 19th January, 2021, the new VC was the immediate past Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic of the Institution.
Enugu earmarks N42.4 billion for works, infrastructure development

The Enugu State Government said it has budgeted the sum of N42,493,710,000 for works and infrastructure development in its 2021 approved budget christened ‘Budget of Recovery and Continued Growth.’
The state which earmarked the sum of N169,845,750,500 for its 2021 fiscal year, allocated N101,134,758,500 for capital expenditure, while the sum of N68,711,000,000 was budgeted for recurrent expenditure.
The Commissioner for Budget and Planning, David Okelue Ugwunta, who briefed the press at Enugu during the state’s budget breakdown said the state intends to strategically enhance recovery of the state from the drawbacks of 2020 and further consolidate on the foundation already laid in creating an environment that encourages natural, social and infrastructural development in line with the current eight-point agenda of the state government.

(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), Southeast, Nigeria, is to partner with the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ), in retraining its members in the state.
Acting Vice Chancellor of the Enugu state owned institution Professor Charles Eze, stated this yesterday when the leadership of the state council of the union called on him and management of a courtesy visit.
The ESUT, boss, said that the institution had a flourishing Mass Communication Department that could assist in improving the capacity of journalists in the state.
He, therefore, asked, the leadership of the union in the state to work out the modalities for such collaboration.
