As of Tuesday night, some health care workers in the state are now vaccinated. Wednesday, Huntsville Hospital will administer its first doses. The state chose certain locations in Alabama based off their ability to store Pfizer s vaccine. At Huntsville Hospital, the freezers are filled up with the initial shipment of doses. Tuesday, Cullman Regional and Athens Limestone began their vaccinations. You bring up the end of the tunnel, and whether or not we are going to see a light at the end of it. Since March, Dr. Hanserd has been waiting for this moment. There s a lot of sense of relief, Hanserd said. He received the first dose of Pfizer s vaccine Tuesday at Athens Limestone Hospital. Nearly 2,000 of the doses were shipped to the hospital this week.
