The city manager says the storm sewer system is in good shape to handle melting snow and ice over the next few days.
However, another issue Broussard anticipates is trash disposal and possible damage from the snow. He says the city is looking into a bulky trash pickup day or placing dumpsters across the city for community members to utilize.
Trash pickups are tentatively scheduled on Friday and Saturday depending on road conditions.
While there were issues across the city, Warren says his take away from the week was positive after seeing the Tyler community come together to help one another. As the need for warming shelters arose, local churches stepped in to open their doors, as many city facilities were without electricity and/or water.

ERCOT To End Emergency Conditions, Oncor Works To Restore Power
The Electric Reliability Council of Texas said it expects to come out of emergency conditions later this morning.
“There is enough generation on the electric system to allow us to begin to return to more normal operating conditions,” said Senior Director of System Operations Dan Woodfin in a statement.
No additional outages were needed overnight to keep power supply and electric demand in balance.
Oncor expects to have power restored to a substantial number of customers by this evening. About 27,000 outages remain.
As of 7 a.m., Oncor is reporting 11,594 Dallas County residents are without power, while Tarrant County has 9,320. In Collin County, 1,309 remain affected.

EAST TEXAS (KLTV/KTRE) - Power outages and frozen water lines have lead numerous cities and water supply companies to issue advisories about water consumption and usage.
Kilgore Director of Public Works Clay Evers said the prognosis for the city’s current water woes is “not good.”
Evers provided a statement offering the latest update regarding attempts to get the city’s water supply back online.
