Earl R. “Buzz” Valentine, 97, passed away Dec. 22. He was born Sept. 4, 1923. Buzz lived a long and happy life, growing up in Kenmore with his parents and later in Fairlawn with his wife, Jennie. He attended Kenmore schools and later Coventry High School where he excelled in sports. Buzz enlisted in the Army during World War II shortly out of high school. He served in Italy and was awarded three bronze stars and the victory medal. After his service in the Army he began a career in sales. First at Western Auto in Barberton where he met his wife and later as Regional Account Executive at Investor Fidelity Life; and Vice-President of Dealer Development and Sales Manager with Summit Buick.He is preceded by his parents, Ben and Nelly Valentine and his wife of 63 years, Jenny (nee Thomas). Buzz leaves many nephews and nieces, Sylvia (Steve) Slifko, Janice (Don) Parmelee, Diane (Gary) Parmelee, James Thomas, Deanna Nicolini, Barb (Mark) MacGregor and
