The announcement by Gov. Gary Herbert earlier this month was met with cheers and sighs of relief from many in the education community. Teachers have come into the classroom each day, continuing to instruct during the pandemic despite worrying about the virus spreading. And more than 2,300 have been infected this fall with schools open (a rate much higher than among students).
