In his role, Brian oversees the performance of all hourly employees, and also ensures the company operations prioritize safety, customer service, and growth. And because of how the business and industry operates, Brian also installs, project manages, quotes, designs and sells products.
But that’s far from all he does.
“Brian is always the guy where, no matter who you are, six degrees of separation, if you re a friend of a friend of a friend if there s something he can do in your time of need, he is going to do so right now,” his brother and co-worker Tim Glispin said.
Mount Wachusett Community College nursing students want to help battle COVID, but graduation is pushed back with lack of clinical placements
Updated Jan 11, 2021;
Seeing the spread of COVID-19 grip Massachusetts, as hospitals fill up while a second surge of the virus continues, local nursing students want to help on the front lines.
But graduation has been delayed for nursing students at Mount Wachusett Community College because of a lack of clinical placements, and the need to have in-person clinical hours before completing the program. The decision has left students feeling frustrated and discouraged, yearning to put their skills to use during the pandemic.
Freshly fallen snow created a magical backdrop for the 2020 Winter Tree Stroll in Groton. A collaboration of the Groton ConÂservation Trust and area non-profits, the organized exploration of town conservation lands is a wonderful way to discover new areas to walk, play âI Spyâ with the kids, and soak in some incredible views of the hills of Groton and the mountains beyond.
Six properties in Groton are decorated with at least two or more trees which reflect either the focus of the non-profit or the natural surroundings. For our day out we visited three of the properties.
At The General Field conÂservation land we found Groton Cub Scout Pack 12 working on their tree, reaffixing some of their decorations after the NorâeastÂer had blown through. The Pages for Peace tree, in the same location, was inspirÂed by the group of young writers who worked together to create the worldâs larÂgest book. The book is currently on display at the Prescott Community C
This is the season to cross-country ski.
In the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, X-C more than ever is a magical way to escape crowds and lift lines and get outdoors in winter at a much lower cost than Alpine skiing for basic equipment and trail use fees; and it’s free to ski at places like golf courses and public parks.
If you’re an Alpine skier, you should mix it up more this season with Nordic skiing, especially with reservations at larger Alpine resorts sometimes hard to get and lift lines longer than usual due to COVID-19 capacity restrictions. It’s easy to learn and do, and it’s a great cardio and leg workout once you get into it.
