Last BI-LO Grocery Stores Closing in Charlotte Area & Across Carolinas & Georgia April 10, 2021 The last BI-LO stores in the Charlotte area will close on Sunday. One is on Mount Holly-Huntersville Road in Northwest Charlotte. The others are in Monroe and Stanley. Parent company Southeastern Grocers decided to stop operating stores under the BI-LO brand. All BI-LO’s across the Carolinas & Georgia will close by April 18th. The BI-LO chain started in Greenville, South Carolina and has been around for 60 years. Food Lion and other grocery stores bought some former BI-LO locations, but others will permanently close.
