DIXON, Ill. Dixon Police arrested a 15-year-old boy with a loaded gun at the Petunia Festival in Dixon, Sunday night.
Dixon Police say they received a call about a possible active shooter on the Peoria Avenue Bridge.
Spectators were on the bridge to watch the fireworks show at 9:30p.m. It got a little bit chaotic because several people heard that and so then everyone just started to scatter, said Jessica Gardner, Petunia Festival Attendee.
Police evacuated the Peoria Avenue Bridge as they looked for the suspect.
A noise complaint stemming from a downtown parking garage led to the seizure of a fire and the arrest of a juvenile man.
Yesterday, Tuesday, June 29 at 5:25 a.m. Pittsfield Police received a noise complaint believed to be originating from the McKay Street Parking Deck in Pittsfield. Upon arrival, responding officers encountered three juvenile males loitering on the top level of the parking deck, one of which appeared to have been the operator of a vehicle he was occupying. The Patrol Officer initially spoke with this individual obtained limited cooperation and made observations that indicated the individual may be in possession of a weapon. By then, a second Patrol Officer arrived to assist, at which time a firearm was discovered in the juveniles’ waistband.
The Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a Twentynine Palms felon who led deputies on a high-speed pursuit. According to Sheriff’s reports, deputies were patrolling the area near David Way and Adobe Road in Twentynine Palms around 4 a.m. Thursday (June 24) when they saw a red GMC pickup truck traveling northbound on Adobe Road toward David Way. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the truck for vehicle code violations and contacted the driver, later identified as Thomas Furney, 36. During the traffic stop, Furney became uncooperative with Deputies. He fled the location in his vehicle, leading deputies on an approximate 8-mile vehicle pursuit into the unincorporated area of Wonder Valley.
