China, US to cooperate on climate

Beijing/Washington, April 18 : Following talks between US climate envoy John Kerry and his Chinese counterpart Xie Zhenhua, the world s two largest producers of greenhouse gases issued a joint statement saying they would cooperate on mitigating climate change.
The talks were took place from Thursday to Friday in Shanghai. China and the US are committed to cooperating with each other and with other countries to tackle the climate crisis, which must be addressed with the seriousness and urgency that it demands. This includes both enhancing their respective actions and cooperating in multilateral processes, including the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement.
