Eisenhower Health honors retiring President & CEO Aubrey Serfling with surprise ceremony
Eisenhower Health President and CEO Aubrey Serfling got one final surprise ahead of his retirement.
Serfling announced his retirement last year after 20 years leading Eisenhower Health. A surprise ceremony was held on Friday to honor his time with the hospital.
During the ceremony, the hospital unveiled a street sign with his name on it. The road leading into Eisenhower Health was renamed after Serfling.
After the ceremony ended, Serfling went back inside the hospital, where he was met by applause from staff across the health system.

Eisenhower Health names new president and CEO

Eisenhower Health today announced its new president and CEO will be promoted from within the organization.
Martin J. Massiello, who currently serves as executive vice president and the chief operating officer, will replace G. Aubrey Serfling. Massiello is slated to begin work leading the nonprofit Rancho Mirage medical organization starting March 1. Marty Massiello has demonstrated extraordinary leadership during his 13-year tenure as COO at Eisenhower Health, said Michael Shannon, chairman of the Eisenhower Health Board of Trustees. His more than 30 years of experience in health care and extensive knowledge of the clinical services of Eisenhower Health make him singularly suited to carrying forward the strategic initiatives that will ensure Eisenhower s continued commitment to providing exceptional health care to patients in the Coachella Valley.
