ST. JOSEPH, Mich. â A 36-year-old St. Joseph man was arrested in connection to possessing child sexually abusive material and computer crimes, according to a news release Monday.
Alexander Paul-Ticknor Rendell was arrested Jan. 29 and has been charged with aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material.
The investigation was initiated by the Fifth District Computer Crimes Unit in Coldwater when an individual was found to be downloading a large amount of child sexually abusive material.
A search warrant was conducted at Rendellâs home and police seized digital evidence, as well as conducted an interview.

ST. JOSEPH, MI (WKZO AM/FM) Monday, the Michigan State Police (MSP) announced the arrest of a St. Joseph man for Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material and using a computer to commit a crime.
The investigation was launched by the Fifth District Computer Crimes Unit in Coldwater when a suspect was found to be downloading a large amount of child sexually abusive material (CSAM). The suspect has been identified as 36-year-old Alexander Paul-Ticknor Rendell.
A search warrant was conducted at Rendellâs residence and digital evidence was seized, and an interview with Rendell was conducted on scene. The Berrien County Sheriffâs Office assisted with the investigation and search warrant.

COLDWATER, Mich. â A 44-year-old Coldwater man has been arrested in connection to possession of child sexually abusive material and computer crimes, Michigan State Police said Wednesday.
Christopher Jackson Fowler was arrested Jan. 14 and faces related charges.
The investigation was started by the Fifth District Computer Crimes Unit when Fowler was found to be downloading a âlarge amountâ of child sexually abusive material.
MSP and the Coldwater Police Department conducted a search warrant at his home and seized digital evidence.
The MSP Computer Crimes Unite encourages parents to speak with their children about the safe use of the internet.

Saugatuck child predator sentenced

SAUGATUCK, MICH. â The Michigan State Police (MSP) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force announced the sentence of Justin Williams, 26, of Saugatuck, on charges of Criminal Sexual Conduct (CSC) and Child Sexually Abusive Material (CSAM).
On Jan. 11, 2021, Williams pleaded guilty to first degree CSC and was sentenced to 18 years 9 months to 50 years. Williams also pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of CSAM and was sentenced to 7 years 11 months to 25 years.
Initiated by the Fifth District Computer Crimes Unit, Williams was found to be in possession of CSAM. Additionally Williams was found manufacturing CSAM.
