AfriTin holds a portfolio of production, development and exploration assets in Africa. Its flagship asset is the Uis Tin Mine in Namibia. Historically, it was the largest hard-rock tin mine. It is now fully permitted and compliant. The mine s large footprint allows for economies of scale. A globally significant JORC-compliant mineral resource estimate includes 95,539t of tin, 6,091t of tantalum and 450,265t of lithium oxide (see announcement dated 16 September 2019 for further details of the resource estimate). Uis successfully maintained steady-state production during Q4 of the 2021 financial year (ending February 2021), surpassing the internal quarterly target of 180 tonnes of concentrate to produce 194.5 tonnes (containing 126.2 tonnes of tin metal), a 28% improvement on the previous quarter. Fahybeg windfarm updates furnished
THE developers of a windfarm in South East Clare have made updated information available in response to public queries over the potential impact on health and property prices.
RWE Renewables Ireland Limited, which describes itself as one of the world’s leading renewable energy companies, said it is half-way through an eight-week pre-planning consultation process and keen to engage with the community living close to the 320-hectare site which is 6km south west of Killaloe and 1.5km north of Bridgetown.
The German company also said that, to date, the exact locations of the eight proposed turbines in the Fahybeg Windfarm have not been pinned down and that studies to determine these are underway.
