FW43B to carry fans names to mark Williams’ 750th GP

Williams will mark their 750th grand prix in Monaco by sporting 100 lucky fans’ names on the halo of the team’s FW43Bs.
Next weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix will mark Williams’ 750th race, only the third team in F1 history to reach that milestone.
The Grove team are giving fans the opportunity to celebrate it with them.

Williams, Head remain in contact with Capito

Jost Capito, the Williams CEO, has revealed he is still consulting Sir Patrick Head and Claire Williams as he tries to transform the team’s fortunes.
Capito began work this year in charge of operations at Williams, who have finished last in the Constructors’ World Championship for the past three seasons.
His arrival came as a result of a buyout from Dorilton Capital last summer, with Claire Williams stepping down from her role as deputy team principal a few weeks later.
The daughter of team founder Sir Frank Williams was succeeded by Simon Roberts in regard to managing the team, with he now reporting to Capito.

If all was fair and square in the ladder to Formula 1, it is sure that George Russell would be driving a Mercedes this season after his stellar performance at the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix.
But cruelly life is not fair and Russell finds himself toiling at the tale end of the field, where he does not belong while Mercedes continue to rule the roost with a safe and trusted pair of hands in Valtteri Bottas doing the wingman thing to perfection, inadvertently or not, for Lewis Hamilton to gobble up the records.
Given a few hours in a car he was unfamiliar with, Russell was stellar, making Bottas look ordinary and then he niught have won the race had Mercedes not so inexplicably fluffed their lines.
