Officials report a total of 4,532 people with COVID-19 have died from the disease across the state, including 55 in Johnson County. The death reported Thursday was the third reported here this week and the eighth this month. The county s first death was reported April 4.
A total of 1,459,921 Iowans have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 novel coronavirus, which causes the disease, including 69,935 in Johnson County. A total of 316,434 have tested positive in Iowa.
