Iowa reports additional COVID-19 deaths, cases

January 22, 2021 Des Moines, Ia-  The Iowa Department of Public Health on Thursday reported an additional 1709 confirmed cases of COVID-19. That brings the total number of positive cases in Iowa since the start of the pandemic to 309,277.  51 additional deaths were also reported bringing that total to 4,445. 271,951 people in Iowa have recovered from the virus and a grand total of 1,435,648 COVID-19 tests have been performed in Iowa. Iowa reports 1,845 new positive virus cases, 10 deaths

Des Moines, Ia- The Iowa Department of Public Health on Wednesday reported an additional 1,845 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19. That brings the total of positive cases in Iowa since the start of the pandemic to 299,910. 10 additional deaths related to COVID-19 were also reported bringing that total to 4,232. A total of 260,502 people have recovered from the virus in Iowa, and a grand total of 1,405,142 people have been tested. Hospitalizations in Iowa again decreased slightly. 516 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 with 70 people in ICUs and 30 on ventilators.

425 new positive COVID cases in Iowa, 1 additional death

Des Moines, Ia- The Iowa Department of Public Health on Monday reported an additional 425 new positive cases of COVID-19. These new cases bring the total number of confirmed positive cases of the virus in Iowa to 296,866 since the start of the pandemic. 1 additional death was also reported, bringing that total to 4,139. Hospitalizations in Iowa which had been steadily decreasing saw a slight increase. 555 people in the state were hospitalized with COVID-19, up slightly from the day before, but the number of people in ICU's decreased slightly to 96, with 36 on ventilators. A total of 1,396,435 tests have been performed in Iowa, and 256,151 people in Iowa have recovered from the virus.
