In a letter to US Attorney General Merrick Garland and US Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh, Rep. Cindy Axne, D-Iowa 3, Iowa House Minority Leader Todd Prichard, and Iowa Senate Minority Leader Zach Wahls called for an independent investigation. We want disinterested people to investigate and to understand what s going on so that the legislature can make informed decisions of what is needed to safeguard Iowans and people who work in our prison system, Rep.
