Gardai have launched a manhunt after a young girl ended up in hospital after an assault over the weekend.

Gardai have rushed to the scene of a serious collision on a major Irish motorway.
Part of the M3 southbound has been shut as a result of the crash this afternoon.
The incident happened near the Junction 7 exit at Skryne/Kilmessan in Co Meath.
Officers are currently at the scene and diverting traffic.
An AA Roadwatch spokesman said: The M3 is closed now southbound at J7 Skryne/Kilmessan following a collision. Traffic is slowing both ways passing this junction. Gardai are diverting traffic.
