LONDON/BRUSSELS, April 13 (Reuters) - Britain will host Irish Foreign Minister Simon Coveney in London and its EU negotiator David Frost will travel to Brussels on Thursday for talks designed to ease differences over trade with Northern Ireland, the scene of more than a week of riots.
Coveney was due to hold talks with his British counterpart Dominic Raab and Brandon Lewis, Britain s minister for Northern Ireland, an Irish government source said.
Frost would meet European Commission vice president Maros Sefcovic on Thursday evening to discuss a British change in Northern Ireland trading arrangements in March, which prompted a legal challenge from Brussels.

DUBLIN (Reuters) - Nightly outbreaks of street violence in Northern Ireland must stop before somebody is killed, Irish Foreign Minister Simon Coveney said on Thursday, calling on the region’s political and community leaders to work together to ease tension.
“This needs to stop before somebody is killed or seriously injured,” Coveney told Irish national broadcaster RTE after the rioting escalated with sectarian clashes, continued attacks on police and the setting alight of a hijacked bus.
“These are scenes we haven’t seen in Northern Ireland for a very long time, they are scenes that many people thought were consigned to history and I think there needs to be a collective effort to try to diffuse tension.”

DUBLIN (Reuters) - Travellers to Ireland from more European Union countries will be subjected to mandatory hotel quarantine in the coming days in an attempt to stop the spread of COVID-19 variants, Irish Foreign Minister Simon Coveney said on Thursday.
The government last week added 26 countries to the list of arrivals who must spend up to 14 days in a hotel room but stopped short of a recommendation by health officials to include the United States, Germany, Italy and France, countries where large numbers of Irish nationals live.
