Covid Scotland: Warning new variant could run rampant as US and EU travel rules eased

Warning new variant could run rampant as US and EU travel rules eased THE UK and Scottish Governments are being warned of allowing a new Covid variant to “run rampant” through the country by further easing restrictions for EU and US travellers. From Monday, people from those areas – except France – who have been double vaccinated will be able to travel to Scotland without quarantining. It follows an announcement from the UK Transport Secretary Grant Shapps unveiling the same changes for England. The need for travellers to self-isolate for 10 days on arrival in Scotland is being waived subject to the countries covered remaining on the amber travel list.
