Russian athletes ruled out of European Indoor Athletics Championships Thursday, 25 February 2021 The Russian Athletics Federation (RusAF) has confirmed its athletes will not participate at next month s European Indoor Championships in Poland as its restoration plan will not be finished in time for the event. There had been hope that World Athletics may restore the Authorised Neutral Athletes (ANA) scheme, which allows Russian competitors who meet certain criteria to take part at elite events, prior to the Championships beginning on March 5. But World Athletics has said it will not consider the status of the RusAF or the ANA initiative until its next meeting on March 17 and 18.
