A Romanian anesthesia and intensive care medical team is leaving for Bratislava on Wednesday for a 21-day mission to help the Slovakian doctors fight the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department for Emergency Situations (DSU) announced on Facebook, according to AGERPRES.

Romania s emergency foreign humanitarian aid provided free of charge to Moldova in the latter s effort to combat the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic will consist, in a first stage, of personal protective equipment worth almost 11 million lei, with the shipment to be provided by Romania s General Emergency Management Inspectorate (IGSU) February 11 -13, Prime Minister Florin Citu informed on Wednesday. Following the visit of the President of Romania to the Republic of Moldova and implicitly the decisions taken and the activation by the Republic of Moldova of the European Civil Protection Mechanism on February 4, 2021, the Government of Romania decided to grant free external emergency humanitarian aid to Moldova. The Romanian delegation participating in the mission will be composed of eight IGSU officials, Citu said at the end of a government meeting.
Greece offers immediate assistance to Croatia after earthquake

Greece immediately responded to the request of the Croatian government, through the European Civil Protection Mechanism, and immediately sent aid to deal with the consequences of earthquake that hit the country on Tuesday.
The 6.4 earthquake killed several people including a 12-year-old girl, injured dozens and caused extensive damage to numerous homes and infrastructure.
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic brought in the country’s military to support the rescue and aid efforts.
Greece sent tents, rollaway beds, sleeping bags and sheets, in order to help the victims.
The items were transported by a C-130 aircraft, and was accompanied by Lieutenant Spyros Georgiou, Secretariat General for Civil Protection.
