Secretary Yellen emphasized the importance of the transatlantic partnership and conveyed her intention to deepen U.S.-European cooperation on key policy challenges, including ending the pandemic, supporting a strong global economic recovery, fighting income inequality, and forcefully addressing the threat of climate change. The Secretary committed to re-engage actively in the ongoing OECD discussions on international taxation to forge a timely international accord, and to seek solutions to key bilateral trade issues.</span></p>
Brussels [Belgium], February 8 (ANI): In its first high-level dialogue on bilateral trade and investment, India and the European Union exchanged views on the possibility of opening new areas of cooperation, especially on the resilience of global value chains and regulatory mechanisms besides key market access issues.

India’s domestic air passenger traffic grew 3.5% sequentially in January indicating a recovery is underway from the turmoil caused by strict curbs on travel last year.
About 7.6 million passengers travelled on domestic routes last month, credit rating agency Icra said in a statement on Monday. The figure, however, marked a 41% decline from a year earlier.

New Delhi [India], February 7 (ANI): In its first high-level dialogue on bilateral trade and investment with India, the European Union recognised New Delhi s strategic role as a major vaccine producer and expressed openness to discuss vaccine-related matters, informed sources said.
India and the EU agreed that ensuring universal, equitable, affordable and safe vaccine is a priority, they added.
