Huawei Explores 5G Innovations for Beyond Telecom Industries

Huawei Founder and CEO Ren Zhengfei in a recent interview with global media in China revealed the company’s path of exploring new opportunities in industrial 5G applications across sectors such as mining, transportation, and music among others. In his remarks he emphasised Huawei’s continued focus on innovation and core businesses to provide basic platforms for diverse industries in the 5G era.
Elaborating on Huawei’s focus to use ICT solutions to help legacy industries innovate, Mr. Ren Zhengfei said, “In the 5G era, connecting businesses is the main goal. While the 5G applications for different industries are different, but most of the technologies are the same. So our main goal is to increase the adoption of electronic, software, and computing systems in different industries.”
