VILNIUS – With Lithuania marking the 30th anniversary of bloody events of January 13, 1991, the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Seimas of Lithuania on Wednesday held a joint sitting with their colleagues from the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Sejm of Poland.
The Polish MPs emphasized that January 13 was a significant day not just for Lithuania but also for the entire Central European region as it had laid the foundations for the liberation of other countries from the totalitarian regime and had sped up the establishment of the Visegrad Group, the Office of the Seimas said in a press release.
In line with the resolution, the country favors only peaceful settlement of all conflicts
TBILISI, December 26. /TASS/. The parliament of Georgia unanimously adopted on Friday a resolution to proclaim the country’s aspirations for membership in the European Union and NATO. Membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization remains a zero-option priority in Georgia’s foreign policy. Trans-Atlantic unity is the most important precondition for strengthening global security, the resolution reads.
According to the document, membership in the European Union also remains a zero-option priority for the country.
In line with the resolution, the country favors only peaceful settlement of all conflicts.
