The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, represented by Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Krykliy, have signed a loan agreement for EUR 450 million for the project of development of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T).
According to the ministry s website, the funds will be used to overhaul the M-05 Kyiv-Odesa highway and build the Lviv northern bypass road. A record number of highways are being built under the president s Big Construction program this year. More than 4,000 km of roads across the country have already been renovated, and we will do even more thanks to the conclusion of a loan agreement with the EBRD on the development of the Trans-European Transport Network. United Airlines pledged (10-Dec-2020) to reduce 100% of its greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

European Commission calls for conversion to zero-emission vehicles by 2050

The European Commission is aiming to convert nearly all cars, buses and heavy-duty vehicles to zero emissions by 2050. That is one of the key takeaways from the EU Commission’s Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy for European transport released Wednesday. It includes new emission reduction strategies, freight shifting goals and digitization techniques.
“The challenge we face is to try and make sure that the needs of Europeans are met and at the same time the carbon footprint of transport is decreased,” said Frans Timmermans, executive vice president of the EU Commission’s European Green Deal.
The European Commission has published its Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy with an Action Plan involving 82 initiatives that should guide transport policies in Europe for the next four years.
