A commission of European experts will investigate the causes of the incident occurred Friday afternoon in the European power transmission system and which left several areas innorthwestern Romania without electricity, sources from the Energy Ministry told AGERPRES. No one so far knows what the incident s causes are. A European commission has been set up to find out the circumstances of the incident, the sources said. This is an interconnection system breakdown. We don t know the exact causes yet, but we will analyze them. It is a zonal problem in the northwest of the country. The power supply has been meanwhile entirely restored, officials of the national electricity transmission company Transelectrica said.
ACER And ENTSOG Launch A New Joint Public Consultation On The Functionality Issue âGreater Flexibility To Book Firm Capacity At Interconnection Pointsâ Date

The EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) and the European Network of Transmission System Operators (ENTSOG) launched today a joint public consultation related to the FUNC issue ‘Greater flexibility to book firm capacity at Interconnection Points’. An issue reported by the European Federation of Energy Traders (EFET) via the Gas Network Codes Functionality (FUNC) platform.
EFET argues that the standard capacity auction timetable, as defined in the Network Code on Capacity Allocation Mechanisms (NC CAM), limits opportunities for arbitrage to be fully exploited, particularly across the forward curve.
