A Paralympian has said that after revealing an official called her athletics briefs inappropriate , she has received several similar accounts from other female athletes.
Olivia Breen, who mainly competes in the T38 sprint and F38 long jump events, was chided by a female official while participating at the English Championships in Bedford.
She said she was disgusted after the official said her briefs were too short and inappropriate .
It comes as Norway s women s beach handball team were slapped with a €1,500 (£1,298) fine for refusing to play in bikini bottoms - officials deemed the shorts to be improper .

Norway s women s beach handball team was fined 1,500 euros on Monday after players opted to wear shorts instead of bikini bottoms at a European championship match in Bulgaria. The European Handball Federation (EHF) said in a statement that its disciplinary commission had dealt with a case of improper clothing as the shorts were not according to the Athlete Uniform Regulations defined in the IHF Beach Handball Rules of the game , reports ABC News.
According to International Handball Federation rules, women athletes must wear bikini bottoms with a close fit and cut on an upward angle toward the top of the leg. On the sides, the bottoms can be no longer than four inches. Men, on the other hand, can wear shorts four inches above the knee.

At the Olympics, female beach volleyball players can choose to play in shorts a bikini or a one-piece bathing suits.

Norway’s beach handball team has been fined $1,764 (1,500 euros) for being improperly dressed after the women wore shorts instead of bikini bottoms at a European championship match in Bulgaria.
The European Handball Federation (EHF) said in a statement that its disciplinary commission had dealt with “a case of improper clothing” in the bronze medal match against Spain.
It added that the shorts were “not according to the Athlete Uniform Regulations defined in the IHF Beach Handball Rules of the Game .
The fine, worked out at about $176 (150 euros) per player, was criticised by the Norwegian federation while the country’s sports minister Abid Raja said it was “completely ridiculous” and attitudes needed to change.
