Oktibbeha sheriff’s office searching for missing man By Dispatch Staff Report • May 26, 2021 Darryl Christopher Harvey Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing man. Darryl Christopher Harvey, 39, last reported to work May 15 and was last seen by his brother May 17, Oktibbeha County Sheriff Steve Gladney said. He lives on Self Creek Road. He is a 5-feet-5, 200-pound white male and drives a maroon 1998 Ford F-150 with an Oktibbeha County license plate, number KT12753. Gladney said the department believes he could possibly be near Philadelphia, Mississippi. If anyone has information, contact Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office at 662-323-2421.

Oktibbeha County fire being investigated as arson Oktibbeha County Fire Department arrived at the scene around 6 a.m. to extinguish the blaze, but the fire had already “extensively damaged” the home, according to county Fire Services Coordinator Patrick Warner. The homeowner was outside the house with her dog when the fire started, Warner said. No one was injured and the cause is unknown. The Mississippi State Fire Marshal’s Office is continuing the investigation, OCSO Capt. Brett Watson said. Oktibbeha County Fire Coordinator Kirk Rosenhan said the two-vehicle collision happened on Artesia Road, which is southeast of Starkville. Medics transported the driver of the car to the local hospital, and medics evaluated the truck driver at the scene. The truck appears to belong to Oktibbeha County.
