Girl died following accidental shooting in Oktibbeha County

(WTVA) - An accidental shooting initially injured a girl in Oktibbeha County Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at approximately 3 p.m. to Oswalt Road.

The unnamed victim was initially transported to a local hospital and medics later transported the victim to a hospital in Jackson.
Oswalt Road is between Maben and Sturgis.
Coroner Michael Hunt later confirmed the girl, 5-year-old Ava Grace Bailey, died at the University Medical Center in Jackson.

STARKVILLE - Authorities are asking for the public s help to locate a missing 15-year-old.
The Oktibbeha County Sheriff s Department said Anthony Johnson of Starkville is described as a black male, 5 9 tall and weighing 130 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Johnson was last seen wearing a white or beige Tommy Hilfiger hoodie, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and a red backpack.
The press release did not saw when or where Johnson was last seen or where he might be headed.
