OSWEGO â Oswego County Public Health Director Jiancheng Huang announced Wednesday, Jan. 20, that 55 additional residents have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of positive cases to 5,223.
âWe noticed relatively lower daily positive case reports in recent days and continue to monitor all reports,â said Huang. âStill, I urge residents to be diligent in their preventative measures. Wearing a face mask, social distancing, frequent handwashing and avoiding non-essential gatherings remain the best ways to protect each other from the spread of COVID-19.â
In the battle against the coronavirus, Huang said that the COVID-19 vaccine has brought both hope and frustration to residents. âReceiving ample supplies of the vaccine remains our biggest challenge,â said Huang. âIt makes it difficult for us to plan clinics, and for our eligible residents to get vaccinations. OSWEGO â The Oswego County Health Department continues to urge residents to take every precaution in the battle against COVID-19. The plea is especially critical with the ongoing rise in positive cases across the county.

âThis app is a valuable tool in the battle against COVID-19,â said Oswego County Public Health Director Jiancheng Huang. âIt is an early warning system that gives users the power to slow the spread of the virus. I strongly encourage people to download it to their phones.â
